Caribbean Permaculture Consultants Ltd. (CPC) is based out of Wa Samaki Ecosystems and uses the site to house its nursery, teach permaculture courses as well as demonstrate all of the principles of Permaculture.

Erle Rahaman-Noronha :
Erle is one of the directors of Caribbean Permaculture Consultants Ltd (CPC)
Erle was born and grew up in Kenya, lived in Canada and now makes Trinidad his home. He teaches and practices Permaculture and is the owner of Wa Samaki Ecosystems (established 1997), a 33 acre, formerly citrus, estate undergoing a Permaculture restoration while producing cut flowers, tropical fish and indigenous food crops. His farm has won agricultural entrepreneur awards for forestry, aquaculture and horticulture. He is the current national winner of the Agroforestry division and national runner up in the Horticulture division for the National Agricultural Entrepreneur of the year 2009.
He has a BSc in Applied Biochemistry and an MSc in Zoology from the University of Guelph, Canada, has completed two Permaculture Design Courses in Trinidad (07 with Peter Bane) and Belize (09 with Albert Bates), as well as short courses in Intensive Aquaculture (Cornell University), Dendrology (Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry) and Tropical Landscaping (University of the West Indies).
He has been involved with three Knowing and Growing Workshops in Jamaica and Dominica, used as a Permaculture expert by IICA in Suriname, and has taught Permaculture Design courses in Trinidad (08,09) and Puerto Rico (09)
He is also a photographer and an accomplished adventure racer and ultra marathoner.Â
John Stollmeyer:
John is the other director of Caribbean Permaculture Consultants Ltd (CPC)
Born on the 8th of January 1952 in the St. Anns watershed John is a multi media conceptual artist and deep ecologist with a focus on promoting the bioregional vision for evolving sustainable human cultures.
As an artist his main practice has been the designer/maker for his ecological business, Turtle Island Children, creating a line of high fashion natural jewelry using calabash and coconut shell predominantly.
John is a founding member and the research officer and technical advisor to the award winning Community Based Organization, the Fondes Amandes Community Reforestation Project (FACRP).
John completed his first Permaculture Design Course (PDC) in 2006 at Finca Bona Fide, Ometepe Island, Nicaragua with Doug Bullock and Chris Shanks. He was instrumental in bringing Peter Bane, editor of the Permaculture Activist to lead the first ever PDC in Trinidad and Tobago in 2007. In 2009 he completed his third PDC at Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre, Harare, Zimbabwe with Joel Glanzberg and John Nieri as part of the 9th International Permaculture Convergence.

CPC can tailor permaculture courses from the internationally accepted 14 day Intensive Permaculture Design Course (PDC) to one day introductory workshops to anything in between. Come to us with what you would like to achieve and we will find a way to make it happen!
School interactive sessions
CPC prides itself with working with teachers and students to increase their awareness of their connections with the environment and the positive roles they can play to healing the Earth using the many different principles of Permaculture.
All we need is your initial idea and we can come up with modules and interactive sessions that will empower students and their teachers to make meaningful contribuions to their lives, families and communities.
Permaculture materials
CPC brings together talents that can create and customize Permaculture material for education and awareness programmes.
Our most recent project includes a series of 'Greening' booklets and colouring books that introduces Permaculture and its design principles, water and waterways and wildlife and its connections to the environment.

CPC can create permaculture designs for sustainable habitations from sites as small as single households to large acerages and estates
Land Rehabilitation
CPC specializes in applying permaculture principles to rehabilitate degraded lands. By mimicing natural regeneration systems, CPC is able to design permaculture systems that create soil, return biodiversity and provide for human needs. Permaculture prides itself in restoring lands for human need in the hope that no new land need be developed from existing mature forests and ecosystems.
